Mrs. Islas was born and raised in San Diego, California.  Since the age of five she has known that her mission in life was to be a teacher.  In order to pursue her passion of teaching, she attended La Sierra University where she completed her Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching.  Mrs. Islas has had the opportunity to work with  students of all ages, preschool through high school as well as teaching ESL to adult professionals.
